The Universe learns, grows, and expands through contrast. Contrast is inevitable, ever-present, essential, and non-negotiable. It just is.
This means that no one will ever be exactly like anyone else. So we need to stop trying to be. We need to stop thinking that we “should be” anything other than who, and what we are.
We need to stop spending so much time comparing our life experiences to that of any other person.
When we spend our lives thinking about what we “should” do or “ought” to do, rather than what we want to do, or what feels right to do, we block our own life experience. We stifle ourselves and prevent ourselves from living the kinds of lives we’re meant to be living.
It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. And it doesn’t matter what anyone else is doing.
It really, really doesn’t.
If you want to drink coffee every morning, but someone says tea is better, drink the coffee. If you want to lay in bed all day and watch Netflix, despite others saying it’s worthless and a total waste of time, just do it. If you want to eat meat, but it seems like everyone, everywhere is telling you that you need to be vegan, eat the meat. If someone says strength training is better, but you prefer to cycle...ride the damn bike.
Life really doesn’t have to be so hard.
You know what you want, you know what you need, you know what feels right for YOU. So let yourself live your life the way you’re meant to...in the way you want to...in the way that feels best to you.
We were literally born and designed to be uniquely us, which means having our own uniquely, oh-so-personally-attuned-to-us life experiences.
We’re having this physical life experience here on earth solely to be distinctly, totally, wholly, fully who WE are.
The Universe discovers itself—experiences itself—through our individual, personalized life experiences.
So stop doing things just because someone, somewhere said it’s best, or right, or the only logical thing to do. YOU know exactly what’s right for your life. Tune inward and let the information you get be enough.
Give yourself permission to be the you—in every single possible, fathomable way—you were literally born and created to be.
