Do something today that makes you smile. That makes you feel good. That makes you feel alive, or energized, or inspired, or any other feeling you desperately, soul-achingly, earth-shakingly long to feel. From the core of who you are. From the center of your being. Do something that you want to do. Just because you want to do it.⠀
Not something that you have to do, or should do. Not something that feels rational, or reasonable, or logical, or responsible. Or a productive way of filling those fleeting spare moments that sporadically show up within the chaotic, nonstop, busyness of your daily list of never-ending to-do’s. I mean, do those things too, if you must. ⠀
But do something that you want to do. JUST because you want to do it. Something that lights you up. That makes you feel alive. Connected, energized, and free. Something that makes you feel honored, and humbled, and grateful about getting to live the wonder of your life.⠀
Give it your all. Dive right in. It doesn’t have to take long. It shouldn’t stress you out. This isn’t a burden. Do it for the pure bliss, love, joy of the thing. Do it for as long as you want. As long as you can. As long as feels good. 15 minutes, or 10, or 5. The length of time doesn’t matter. All that matters is that you do it. Whatever it is. Bask in the awesome, marvelous, all-encompassing majesty of it. ⠀
